Composer

About
Having studied an Undergraduate degree in Music at Bangor University, followed by a Masters degree in Composition (under Andrew Lewis and Guto Pryderi Puw), I've developed a particular love of writing works for large forces, including symphony orchestra and wind band. My compositions span various styles and genres, with a particular fondness for new contemporary music and experimental works. I often draw inspiration from my travels or the history and character of a local area when crafting my musical pieces.

Recent works include 'Requiem For The Arts' (for orchestra, chorus, and soloists), 'The London Suite' (for concert band) and 'Easy Does It' (for brass band); all written for my Masters Degree. I have had original works performed at Bangor Music Festival ('Colours', 2022, 'Meditation for Brass', 2020), The Red Note Ensemble's 'Digital Noisy Nights' series ('Conflict of Interest'), and virtual recordings of orchestral arrangements by Bangor University massed music society bands and choirs ('You’re In The Band' from School Of Rock and 'Mr Blue Sky'). 'River Of Time' was workshopped by members of the BBC National Orchestra Wales Wind Quintet in March 2023.
